Drunken networking: Failed attempt.

Chatted with a fellow stoic at Mia's last night... we talked about art. noise. waste. & weather half-seas-over, and later, being the intoxicated sailors that we were, discussed our love for big booties & beer. I think he had tried giving me his number, but I woke up the next day with only chicken scratch. So I'm thinking this maybe my next tattoo I'm getting...

a bit of light reading....................

Beautiful necklace by Erin Considine at Anaise

Love this installation by Adam Laerkesen. I feel out of all of his sculptures, this is the strongest one. The shadows are what really make it. The silhouette really gives the piece more depth because it's constantly transforming within the light. I personally feel that light is a vital element to installation, along with interaction, temporarily, concept, and process. Among other things. Most of Laerkesen's work is representational, but this is more abstract. Probably why I love it soooo much. Took me about 7 minutes to realize it was actually a white stag!

EVOL

I really UNHATE this.

Sooooo I had planned on going to Phoenix this weekend with a friend. Hang some art from work, see some shows, meet new people, buy some records, drink some coffee, eat some food? etc. etc. BUT, that was a mistake. Then I had planned on going to a Lotus show at The Compound Grill in Phoenix tonight instead... but decided against it. I guess the thought of looking for a place to crash later tonight was too much work for me. There were plenty of couchsurfers that were willing to have me stay with them, but I think what it really boils down to is that I had been looking forward to the original plans for this weekend, and now everything else seems a bit lacking? dry?

on the bright side, I've been working on my art like crazy! Really have been enjoying my time to myself lately. I guess I had forgotten how it felt...

MAC ATTACK

Finally got my Mac! so excited. It's my first Mac, so I'm not real sure how to use it. I'm sure me being completely computer illiterate has nothing to do with it........

Made a tuff decision today. I had told myself I would start a new blog when I got my new laptop. A fresh start for new beginings I guess. I had started PEAS. CARROTS. CATS. PAJAMAS. about a week ago, and realized it's about the same as PAWPAW. My issue was that I enjoyed the layout, the title, and the idea of a fresh new blog of P-C-C-P, but really enjoyed my theme and posts of PAWPAW. Sooooo I decided to switch the look of PAWPAW and see what happens. If anyone has any thoughts send them my way. Still open for opinions...unless someone suggests I switch to tumblr [not a chance]
